Sometimes a little creativity and enthusiasm can really change a child’s perspective about a book. We needed to read the epic tale “Beowulf”. I was concerned that because of the lack of Hogwarts my children would judge and dismiss it before they ever read a single page. My solution was to create hype for the book by creating a family book club. I created invitations (sealed in wax), and made a special meal. The kids were really excited about the whole event and ended up really enjoying “Beowulf”.
