Griddle drawings are really fun and a wonderful way to use old worn-out crayons. All you need is paper, crayons, a griddle, tin foil, and a heavy duty dish towel. This activity should always be done under close adult supervision. I set my griddle to a low setting and cover the griddle with tin foil (no one likes crayon in their pancakes). We put a thick dish towel down so that the paper can be stabilized (doesn’t slide off the griddle) while drawing without burning your hand. Once your griddle is heated up you simply place your paper on your griddle and draw with crayons. The more colors you use and the more you color and layer your drawing with one color over the other the more brilliant the effect.
