This is a great way for kids to show off their independent reading books. When done well book reports add a lot of value. Not only does the child get to show gained knowledge and comprehension, other kids will be exposed to new literature. Presenting the book report is quintessential. It allows the kids to have a public speaking experience. You never know when a presented book might spark the interest of another child. I have included links at the bottom to the directions. We ended up using oatmeal containers instead of a coffee can because our cartoon strip ended up being very long.
As she read she wrote words she thought would make good vocabulary words.
